Come Worship with Us!

Witness Our Spectacular Sunsets!

Worship Times

In an effort to keep Porchtown Church "small & personal" without bursting at the seams, we offer THREE Worship Services each week! You are always encouraged to bring your BFF: Bibles, Friends and Family - and come as you are!

6 p.m. Saturday Nights: Our Saturday Night Services, led by Pastor Pete or Our Laity Leaders, offer spirited informal worship with a lot of music, fellowship and sharing from 6 to 7 p.m. Come experience the church in the evening with the awesome sight of the cross softly bathed in colors through the stain glass windows. It is very powerful, serene, and comforting.

9:15 a.m. Sundays: Our early worship service, led by Our Laity Leaders is a family-oriented, interactive study into God's Word. Bring your Bibles - you will be learning where to find scriptures and how to apply them to your life in a relaxed and friendly Worship Service where everyone shares and contributes.

10:30 a.m. Sundays: Our second Sunday Worship Service, led by Pastor Pete, offers a nice blend of traditional hymns along with upbeat praise songs and everything in between. In addition to printed bulletins, we project the entire service (including lyrics to songs, prayers, and other responses) on 2 large screens to help everyone follow along.

User-Friendly Services!

We Welcome Everyone!

We offer a Safe Sanctuary where everyone can Worship in Peace. The People of Porchtown Church welcome everyone  like family by providing a safe and friendly place of worship and growth                                      so that we might all live as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

Our aim is to make our services comfortable & user-friendly for those who haven't been in church before. We welcome suggestions that will help us improve our efforts. We don't want anyone to feel out of place.

Our worship services are easy to follow because they feature a multi-media format including easy-to-view presentations & lyrics on 2 large screens with a blend of traditional hymns & contemporary praise songs. We focus on messages that challenge everyone to live and grow in Christian love.

Hymnals, Bibles & Bulletins are also available for those who wish to follow the service in a more traditional format. Children are invited to sit with their parents at each gathering in the front pew if you wish. Quiet activities for little ones such as coloring books are available in the lobby.

Surely the Presence of the Lord is in this place!

Especially in the evening with the soft glow of colors

washing through the stained glass windows onto the Cross!

Quaint & Charming!

Holy Communion Times

Holy Communion is usually celebrated the first Saturday & Sunday of the month. The exceptions are conflicts of schedule with Pastor Pete's accessibility. Check our calendar, bulletins and Happenings Newsletter for updates. When we come to our Lord's table, we are coming to be fed Spiritually.

Just as bread and juice are valuable and energizing to eat and drink, so the Communion bread and cup of juice are valuable and energizing to us spiritually.

Come join hands with our brothers and sisters around the world, and be fed!

Everyone from children to adults are invited to our table.

We serve Communion by "intinction" - please take a big piece of bread and carefully dip it in the grape juice before eating.

Stock the Shelves Weekend for God's Glory Pantry/Closet!

In addition to celebrating Holy Communion the first Saturday / Sunday of each month, we encourage everyone to bring one non-perishable item for our Food Pantry to help keep it stocked and ready for families in need in our community. Food and monetary donations are always welcome anytime.

Clean and gently-used clothing is also accepted for God's Glory Clothes Closet.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE HYMNS?

We are currently compiling a list of everyone's favorite hymns so please let us know what yours are so they can be added to the list.

Let's make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord!

The simple truth is, if we had only a triangle and some sticks we would still come together and offer them before God. It's a mixture of voices that make beautiful music in God's ears. Come join us as we make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord. Musical guests are always welcome to share their talents with us!
